MainStreet Messenger Service
Security that Brings Peace of Mind
Whether it’s routine assistance or emergency response, the MainStreet Messenger set provides the extra security that brings peace of mind. With this telephone seniors and persons with special needs can maintain the comfort of home, knowing help is just a pushbutton away.
Here’s how it works:
- An individual becomes ill or injured in his/her home. She pushes the personal transmitter button (worn on the wrist or around the neck).
- The transmitter sends a signal to the MainStreet Messenger phone, which then automatically calls the dispatch service.
- The dispatcher at the monitoring center receives the following information on the computer screen:
- Customer name
- Address and phone number
- Emergency telephone contacts (medical, fire, security)
- Contacts and phone numbers (family members, neighbors, physician)
- Other personal information including medications and allergies
- The dispatcher activates the Messenger’s advanced speakerphone for two-way, hands-free voice communication with the customer. The customer does not need to be near the phone – the dispatcher will normally hear them, regardless of where they are in the home.
- After speaking with the resident, the dispatcher determines whether to contact a neighbor, family member, or emergency medical help. If the resident is unable to answer, the dispatcher will immediately call for emergency assistance, and stay on the line until help arrives.
With the MainStreet Messenger telephone installed in your home you can get help anytime of the day or night, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
